Now that the "century deal" has been revealed, here is why it's not going to work. 1. You can't force the Palestinians to agree to a deal they didn't negotiate. The only deal signed between Israel and the Palestinian people is the Oslo Accords, that were negotiated by both sides. The new deal lets Israel to annex all of the settlements - 20% of the West Bank - and in return gives the Palestinians almost nothing - even the Palestinian Villages that were annexed to Jerusalem and are literally separated from the rest of the city by a wall aren't given back to the Palestinian state. 2. The monetary compansation won't be enough. The US is setting up a compensation foundation which they hope will be funded mostly by the Arabic states, which would actually rather fund the Palestinians directly and let The West fund the foundation, and The West won't pay the trillions needed for such a compensation. 3. The Israeli right-wing parties won't agree to that. One Likud minister said anonymously to the press that he would vote against the plan no matter what are the terms, because "once there is a Palestinian state, it is protected by international law". The right-wing parties, on which Netanyahu is so dependent to avoid jail, will not agree to such a deal. For peace, the Israeli leadership needs to be replaced. Two things extra to think about: A. If no Jew and no Palestinians are to be moved from where they live, what is going to happen with the Jewish neighborhood inside the Palestinian city of Hebron? B. Netanyahu didn't say "Palestinian State" once. The closest was "a chance towards a future state".
